Standardization of the blog
Playing with the standardization of the blog. Investigating standardization of the bathroom - but what about the blog. The blog is an online-ready tool, initially used by me for convenience and contacting my tutors whilst living in different cities. The blog however, is more relevant to my project than merely a method of contact.
Personalization of the blog - the blog is a personal online tool. It has many presets that a user can choose from to 'personalize the blog'. The screen shots in this post look at how the blog is set up in terms of individuality and personalization. I have played with this to extremes.
The personalization of the bathroom me can also be reflected into the blog's design. Why consider a graphic stand-point of ease of use to anyone but myself? The blog could be a further extension of myself and my personality.
Feedback at the Crit did not really criticize the blog - however font size and colour were mentioned. If the blog is an extension of me, my personality and my 'vanity', then the font size should reflect MY eyesight, and the colour my preferences.
The blog could be an extension of my person, like the bathroom.
The Bath Room seeks to question the standardization of products within the bathroom, but if we consider the various presets (colours, width adjustments, gadgets) as the products, then the blog becomes the space. But where is the body? Through personalization of the blog, the person can be made evident.
